Learning Disabilities and Cancer Screening: A Course for Carers
The Learning Disabilities and Cancer Screening video has been written for the carers of those with learning disabilities.
Over 1000 people with learning disabilities die prematurely each year due to inadequate care, delays in diagnosis and treatment commencing.
UCARE want to raise awareness of the importance of cancer screening programmes and give people the knowledge and skills to be able to navigate this sensitive topic and improve uptake of screening services amongst this group of people.
Early diagnosis does save lives.
